Dr. Gina Simonetti has been in private practice in Fairfax since 1991. She is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine to practice chiropractic and is additionally licensed in the state of New York. She is also board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
In 1986, Dr. Simonetti received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree, Cum Laude in biological sciences from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from New York Chiropractic College in Old Brookville, New York in 1989 and was awarded membership in the Phi Chi Omega Chiropractic Honor Society.
Upon, graduation, Dr. Simonetti was appointed special teaching residency at NYCC where she supervised and instructed interns in physical diagnosis, radiology, chiropractic manipulative techniques, and patient management. In addition to working at the NYCC outpatient facility in Levittown, New York, Dr, Simonetti served as adjunct faculty in the gross anatomy cadaver and chiropractic techniques labs where she assisted students in anatomy instruction, dissection, and dynamic anatomy analysis.
Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Simonetti relocated to Virginia with her husband and partner Dr. Steven Bernabeu in 1991 to begin their private practice. Throughout her years in practice, she has attended post-graduate training in rehabilitative musculoskeletal medicine, clinical nutrition, neurology, radiology, sports medicine, acupuncture, and myofascial therapy and unwinding.
Additionally, Dr. Simonetti holds a Master of Science Degree in Human Anatomy and Physiology Instruction from New York Chiropractic College.
